Great things don't stop when the school year ends! β˜€οΈ

Summer is in full swing, but our Youth Development & Leadership students are still making a difference in our community.

Our students recently volunteered at the Saginaw Township Recreation and Saginaw County Parks Community Night at Center Courts, where they spent the evening painting faces, playing games, and creating smiles for local families. The event featured arts and crafts, archery, gaga ball, basketball, and wrapped up with an outdoor showing of Rio. πŸŽ¨πŸ€πŸŽ¬

We're so proud of our students for giving their time, building connections, and putting their leadership and youth development skills into action.

Way to represent Youth Development & Leadership and the Saginaw Career Complex! πŸ™Œ

Congratulations to our outstanding students on taking the next step in their careers through apprenticeship opportunities with Hemlock Semiconductor!

We're proud to celebrate Cayden Geurts from Freeland Community School District, representing our Welding program, and Brennan Meyer from Hemlock Public School District, representing our HVACR program, as they officially signed their apprenticeship commitments.

A special thank you to Mr. Starr and Mr. Harrold, our Welding instructors, and Mr. Supinger, our HVACR instructor, for the dedication and guidance they provide to help students achieve their goals.

We'd also like to recognize Hemlock Semiconductor for their continued investment in Career & Technical Education and for creating incredible opportunities for our students. Partnerships like these help build the skilled workforce of tomorrow!

Congratulations, Cayden and Brennanβ€”we can't wait to see all you accomplish! πŸ‘πŸ”§

On behalf of the Saginaw Career Complex, thank you to all of our sponsors, golfers, volunteers, and community partners who helped make our 13th Annual SCC Golf Outing a tremendous success! β›³οΈπŸŒβ€β™‚οΈ

Your generosity and support directly impact the lives of our students by helping fund participation in Career and Technical Student Organization (CTSO) competitions at the state and national levels. Because of this fundraiser, students who qualify for these prestigious competitions can participate at no cost to their families.

By removing financial barriers, we ensure that every student has the opportunity to showcase their talents, develop leadership skills, gain valuable industry experience, and compete alongside the best students in the nation. These experiences often become life-changing opportunities that help prepare our students for successful careers and futures.

This event would not be possible without the incredible support of our community. Your investment in our students demonstrates a shared commitment to workforce development and the success of the next generation. πŸ™Œ

Thank you for believing in our students and helping make these opportunities possible. Together, we are creating pathways to success for all students.

Thank you for making a difference!
