We are absolutely thrilled to share that TWO of our incredible teachers were named in the Top 10 for the Serra Automotive Teacher of the Year award! 🏆🎉

These amazing educators work tirelessly every single day and pour so much love and dedication into their students. We already knew they were superstars, but it is so wonderful to see their hard work recognized by others. 🙌

Fresh paint, fresh energy! 🎨

Have you noticed the bright new look around campus lately? SCC is getting a vibrant blue makeover on the outside to match all the amazing changes happening on the inside!

From refreshed classrooms to cozy new student seating areas in the commons and hallways, we are constantly working to make our school an inspiring, welcoming place to learn and grow. ✨

A huge thank you to everyone working hard behind the scenes (and up on the lifts!) to make these improvements happen.

🌾🚜 YD&L Students in Action at Project RED! 🍎🥕🐄

Today, Youth Development & Leadership students had the opportunity to help make Project RED at Schomaker Farms a success! The event welcomed more than 600 elementary students from six different schools across Saginaw County for a day of hands-on learning about agriculture, food, and nutrition.

Our YD&L students served as class guides throughout the day, each taking responsibility for a group of elementary students and helping them navigate through nine agricultural education stations. They kept their classes on schedule, helped with transitions, interacted with the kids, and made sure each group felt welcomed and excited to learn.

From bread, cheese, fruits and vegetables to animals and nutrition, there was plenty to explore, but one of our favorite parts was watching our students step into leadership roles and connect with younger children. In fact, our students stayed SO busy we didn't have a chance to get everyone in one place for our group photo! 💜💚

Experiences like this are exactly what Youth Development & Leadership is all about: giving students authentic opportunities to practice communication, leadership, professionalism, and working with children while serving their community.

A huge thank you to Schomaker Farms and everyone who made Project RED possible and allowed our students to be part of such a great day for Saginaw County kids!

Who knew toilet paper rolls and cups could make such great patients? 🧻

Our Nursing Occupations class got creative while practicing anatomical terminology and patient positions using their newly created models. This hands-on activity brought plenty of laughs while helping students learn and apply important healthcare skills!
