Dear Loomis Families,

Friendly reminder that our Open House/Curriculum Night is Tuesday, September 8, from 5:00–6:30 p.m. in the Loomis Gymnasium. Doors will open at 4:45 p.m. Families will have the opportunity to officially meet our new principal, Mr. Woods, meet their child’s teacher, and learn about the curriculum for the upcoming school year. We look forward to seeing you!

Loomis Elementary would like to extend a special thank you to the wonderful volunteers who helped us welcome our students on the first day of school!

We appreciate the men of Victorious Believers Ministries and Pastor Pryor, the men of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc., and our special guest, Senator Chedrick Greene, for taking the time to greet, encourage, and support our students.

Please join us in welcoming Mr. Rodney Woods as the new Principal of Loomis MST Academy .

A proud Saginaw Public Schools graduate, Mr. Woods returns home with more than 20 years of experience in education and school leadership. Throughout his career, he has served students and families as a teacher, counselor, dean, assistant principal, and principal.

Mr. Woods holds a Bachelor of Science from Saginaw Valley State University, a Master of Education in Educational Leadership, and a Michigan School Administrator Certificate. He is also a graduate of the Gerstacker Fellowship Program.

He and his wife, Jennifer, have been married for 28 years and are the proud parents of two sons, Chaz and Keason. Together, they share a deep commitment to education, service, and the Saginaw community.

We are excited for the leadership, experience, and heart Mr. Woods will bring to Jessie Loomis. Welcome home!
