Great job Jv & Varsity cheerleaders! For cheering on and supporting all the walkers and runners for such a wonderful cause at Barb Smith Walk for Hope. Your energy, enthusiasm, and encouragement made a difference.

๐Ÿ’œWhat a great day at the ๐Ÿ’œ

Today, our girls volleyball program celebrated everyday heroesโ€ฆthose who support others, speak openly about mental health, and take meaningful steps toward care, hope, and connection. Together, we walked to honor loved ones, raise awareness, and remind one another that no one has to face lifeโ€™s challenges alone. Every step matters. ๐Ÿ’œ

FALL SPORTS REMINDERS

Two items are required before any middle or high school student may participate on the first day of tryouts or practices:

1. Complete the FamilyID Sports Registration (opens July 1).

https://students.arbitersports.com/organizations/swan-valley-school-district

This process only needs to be completed once per school year. Parents/guardians of athletes participating only in winter or spring sports may register at any time during the school year.

2. Submit a current sports physical.

A sports physical completed on or after April 15, 2026, must be submitted to the head coach, the Swan Valley High School Athletic Office, or the Swan Valley Middle School Main Office. Physicals may also be uploaded through FamilyID. A parent/guardian must complete the medical history, emergency, pre-participation, consent, and insurance sections of the form and provide all required signatures. BOTH SIDES OF THE PHYSICAL FORM NEED TO BE COMPLETED IN ITS ENTIRETY.

Blank sports physical forms are available in the Swan Valley High School Athletic Office or from any Swan Valley coach.

For student-athletes who still need a sports physical, attached are flyers from Great Lakes Bay Health Centers for a designated sports physical day at Saginaw Arts and Sciences Academy (SASA) on Wednesday, August 5. Great Lakes Bay Health Centers also offers walk-in sports physical appointments throughout the summer.

๐Ÿ“ข Hey, Swan Valley Families! ๐Ÿ’œ๐ŸŽ

๐ŸŽ‰ Great news! School meals are FREE for all students this year!

๐Ÿ“ But... there's one important catch! Even though meals are free, every family still needs to complete the CEP Benefit Application Form.

๐Ÿ“ง Check your email today and take a few minutes to fill out the form. It helps our Food Service program and ensures Swan Valley continues to receive important funding that benefits our students.

SWAN VALLEY POWERLIFTING CLUB INTEREST MEETING
Tuesday, July 28 | 6:30 p.m.

The Swan Valley School District Board of Education recently approved the request to begin formalizing Powerlifting as a school club sport for both male and female students.

The first step in the process is establishing the program as a club. Club status helps build participation, supports fundraising efforts, and allows our student-athletes to be formally recognized by the school district.

If you're interested in joining the club and getting stronger for your primary sport, we encourage you to attend our interest meeting on Tuesday, July 28, at 6:30 p.m. in the Swan Valley High School Library. The meeting is for both students and parents.

We look forward to seeing you there!

If you have any questions or cannot make the meeting, please reach out to Dustin Izzo at [email protected] .

Go Vikings! ๐Ÿ’œ๐Ÿค
