Swan Valley Softball and Baseball Regionals (6/6)...

Swan Valley Softball and Baseball will continue to their make their postseason run this Saturday in regional competition. Swan Valley Softball will take on Lake Fenton in the Regional Semifinals at 10:00 a.m. at Garber High School.

Swan Valley Baseball will play Orchard Lake St. Mary's in the Regional Finals at 10:00 a.m. at Sanborn Park in Port Huron. The address is 1903 Sanborn Street, Port Huron.

Varsity baseball advances to the Regional Championship with a win over John Glenn last night in the semi-final 2-0.
Jaxon Hartley pitched the win starting with an immaculate inning. Nine pitches, 3 strikeouts. Hartley struck out 13 in his stunning performance with zero walks, allowing only 3 hits.
The Vikings had 5 hits with Hartley leading the offense. He and Nolan Selasky each had two hits, and Kam Reynolds had the other.
The score was knotted at zeros until the bottom of the 6th with two outs. Hartley doubled, Jackson Gebauer drew an intentional walk. Mikey Gerard pinch hit. A double steal and then, a ball gets by on a wild pitch and Hartley scores. The catcher throws past the pitcher covering home. With the ball passing through a cloud of dust and heading down the third base line, Gebauer makes a break for home and scores Swan Valley’s second run.
It was an exciting win sending the Vikings into the regional finals at St. Clair Community College against Orchard Lake St Marys. The game will be Saturday morning at 10:00.

Swan Valley Varsity Baseball Team wins Districts Saturday!

The Boys Swan Valley Track & Field team proved they are the real deal by earning 3rd place at the MHSAA. Eleven athletes qualified to compete in 10 events. They scored points and made the podium with All-State honors in 7 of those events.

VIKING ATHLETE OF THE WEEK (WEEK of May 25th)...

Swan Valley Athletics is honoring three Viking Athletes of the Week from last week. Congratulations to Sawyer Murphy (JV Baseball) and Jacob Farr (JV Baseball) earning this prestigious award!

Here is what their coach had to say about them fulfilling one or more of the Viking Athletic Core Values:

"Sawyer, “Murph”, Murphy went on an offensive tear the last weeks of the season! He ended the season with the highest batting average on the team, .533, had 24 hits on the season, including 6 doubles, three triples and a home run! Sawyer only struck out four times on the entire season! Sawyer mostly plays outfield and first base, but also pitches. The lefty struck out 21 batters on the season and ended with a 3.316 ERA. Great season!"

"Jacob Farr also ended the season on an offensive tear! The last few weeks, Jacob ended with a .455 batting average, and had five singles, and three RBI’s just in the last few weeks alone! Jacob mostly plays second base, but also plays a bit of outfield. Jacob is a very coachable player and a great teammate. He does whatever is asked of him, and made great improvements this season!"
