A note from Ms. Smeader:
'Our spring music program, "Handley Goes to the Disco" (May 29), was a great success! Thank you so much to the Handley Staff (Mrs. Price for the cool disco ball and groovy lava lamps), Mrs. Priem, her husband, and daughter Emma for helping to hang the decorations, the teachers who were here for line-up and monitoring during our practice and performance, and parents who helped their kids look amazing! I am so proud of them all! We had a packed gym for both shows, but there were still parents who were unable to attend. Is there ANYONE who is willing to share any of your grade level performances, Kindergarten-Fifth grade? If so, could you please post them here? I had several parents unable to attend and would have loved to have seen the program. It is also great to re-live these memories again. Thank you again! Have a wonderful summer! -Ms.Smeader '

You’re invited to join us for our IB PYP 5th Grade Exhibition beginning at 5:30 pm on Thursday, May 28th.
During the exhibition, students will showcase the research, projects, & action they have taken throughout their inquiry journey. You will have the opportunity to listen and speak with students about the issues they explored and the impact they hope to make in their communities and in the world. Exhibition is a celebration of student voice, choice, leadership, and learning, as our fifth graders demonstrate the skills and knowledge they have developed.
Directly following the exhibition, we will transition into our 5th Grade farewell celebration as we recognize and celebrate our students, accomplishments, growth, and memories made during their time at Handley.

This program is designed to help students strengthen academic skills and build confidence as they transition into middle school.

📍 Location: Saginaw PD Center
📅 June 22 – July 30, 2026
🕗 Monday–Thursday | 8:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.

The program is:
✅ Mandatory for identified current 5th grade students
✅ Encouraged for all rising 6th graders

Families of identified students will receive direct district notification.
