Saginaw Public Schools looks forward to welcoming all students on the first day of school, Tuesday September 3, 2024. The first day of school and all days thereafter, will be IN-PERSON, FACE TO FACE INSTRUCTION.

"I feel it's an honor to be selected as the principal of Saginaw United High School. I want to make everyone proud. I know the bar is high, but it should be high. Our kids can do it. I have a wonderful staff, wonderful assistant principals, surrounded by a wonderful administrative team and wonderful teachers. We're going to give the community everything that they've been waiting for. We're going to prove everybody that we did the right thing for our community.

There will be so many course offerings that we were not allowed to offer students before: an abundance of AP courses, Stats, Calculus, English Literature, English Language, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Government, Econ, Psychology, Drawing, 2D, 3D, Spanish, Computer Applications, Music Theory.

We're also talking about coding, game design, robotics, computer applications, web design, digital photography. All of these things that kids can have careers in that we weren't able to offer them.

We've already been working with Delta College where we have our Academy of Excellence, where kids are going to high school and going to college at the same time. When they graduate from high school, these kids have over 30 credits that can be transferred to any college or university or they can stay with Delta and finish out one more year and then have their associate degree with the Saginaw Promise.

Through our partnership with Saginaw Career Complex, kids spend two years years and graduate with skills that allow them to immediately go out into the real world and get great jobs in the trades.

Athletics will be huge. Our new field house and fields are going to be off the charts. When people see them, they'll know that we're really doing something for these kids. The athletic amenities are coming, and when they when they get here, they're gonna be something out of this world.

Saginaw United is going to be about the future of Saginaw. It's about the future of this community, bringing kids together, and giving them opportunities and the level playing field that they deserve and so many things that will help make their future so bright."

Graduates, tomorrow, Wednesday July 17th, is the last day to pick up your banners from Thompson middle school. Banners can be picked up from 9am-3pm.

Class of 2024, Banners are available at Thompson Middle School:

Monday and Tuesday from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. and Wednesday from 2 p.m. until 5 p.m.

Summer school starts next Monday, June 17, 2024. Breakfast starts at 7:45 and the 1st session starts promptly at 8am. Please be on time.
