This is so common and frustrating!

Data and students actually reading should speak for itself and the administration should support you!
It is so frustrating that over and over many districts, schools and teachers resist things that actually work because it is uncomfortable to change and it takes work to implement. Last year I retired from education after 32 years as an elementary teacher, Reading Specialist, Literacy Coach. Teachers should not be allowed to resist or do what they want when students are not progressing.

Just a thought...Would you ever go to a doctor that doesn't use the most effective methods based on research?
