What an amazing day in our EMS education center! Our Mt. Pleasant EMT students not only got to practice their clinical skills on a gorgeous day, they worked alongside the Mt. Pleasant Fire Department, who assisted Instructor Phoebe, in teaching our students how to extricate patients from a vehicle accident. Students practiced their lifting/moving of patients, patient assessment, along with handling patients with suspected trauma.

EMS education doesn't end after you graduate from class. MMR conducts ongoing continuing education in areas such as EMS vehicle operations safety. Another group of employees ready for lights & sirens!

Medication math can be a little challenging at times, but studying outside on a nice Summer day, along with a very caring supervisor, Andy, EMT Brandi will ace her next paramedic quiz! Hang in there Brandi! You got this!

Morgan & Chelsea are just two of many employed EMTs attending our paramedic program. Our education center is expanding its location to provide EMT and paramedic course offerings in Traverse City. This is just the start of getting our building in tip-top shape for our future students! MMR EMTs Brandi and John are in their externship--preparing clinically for the day they will graduate from the paramedic program and advance in the field as paramedics. Their paramedic-supervisor, Andy, provides some mentoring to help them along with their studies. We wish them both the very best!
