🐯🏆 TMS ATTENDANCE CHAMPIONSHIP IS COMING! 🏆🐯

Thompson Middle School families, next week we are kicking off our NEW TMS Attendance Incentive Competition — because EVERY DAY COUNTS!

We know that getting to school every day and on time is one of the most important things our students can do to support their success. Being present means students have more opportunities to learn, build relationships, participate in activities, and stay connected to their school community.

🏆 THE COMPETITION

Each week, our 1st-hour classes will compete for the highest average attendance!

The class with the highest average attendance will:
🏆 Win the TMS Attendance Championship Trophy
📣 Be recognized by the school
🎉 Celebrate their accomplishment

And then…the competition starts all over again the following week!

Families, your support matters! Please help us by making regular school attendance a priority, establishing strong morning routines, and encouraging your child to SHOW UP, COMPETE & MAKE A DIFFERENCE!

We want all of our Tigers to have a great day at school, so here’s a friendly reminder about what students should bring with them each day:

✅ BRING:
🎒 Backpack
📓 School supplies and materials
📝 Completed assignments
💧 Water bottle
😊 A positive, ready-to-learn mindset!

🚫 PLEASE LEAVE AT HOME:
As we continue working to keep classrooms focused, safe, and free from unnecessary distractions, NeeDohs, squishies, dumplings, and similar squishy/fidget toys should remain at home.

While these products can be fun, some squishy toys may contain gels, beads, or other materials that can create safety concerns if the toy breaks, leaks, or is damaged. The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission has recently issued warnings regarding certain squishy toys and their potential safety hazards.

These items can also become a distraction during instruction and learning time. Moving forward, students should not bring these items to school.

Thompson Tigers families,

Due to a tornado warning in our area, we will have a delayed dismissal this afternoon. Students will remain safely in the building following our severe weather protocols until the warning has lifted. We will resume normal dismissal procedures as soon as it is safe to do so.
