Believe it or not, we're only about one month away from welcoming our Tigers back for another great school year! We hope you're enjoying a fun, safe, and relaxing summer.

As you begin your back-to-school shopping, here are a few important reminders:

🎒 Clear book bags are REQUIRED for all Thompson Middle School students.

💧 Water bottles are encouraged, but they must not have a handle.

✏️ Students will also need:
• 1" Clearview 3-ring binder (with clear front pocket)
• 5-tab index dividers
• Pencils (wood or mechanical)
• 3-ring pencil pouch (clear front preferred)
• 12-pack of colored pencils

There's still plenty of summer left to enjoy, so make the most of these final weeks with family and friends. We can't wait to welcome everyone back soon for an amazing year at Thompson Middle School!

The Great Lakes Bay Health Centers work very closely with our schools here in Saginaw Public. They provide many valuable supports and have access to resources that support our families in many ways. Please take a momen to review the following flyers to see what types of amazing things they have going on to support our students and their families.

Students interested in participating in any fall sport should begin planning now to obtain an up-to-date sports physical.

The summer months are a great time to schedule your appointment and avoid the rush as the school year begins. Getting your physical completed early also provides ample time to address any health concerns, required immunizations, or medical documentation that may be needed before athletic participation.

Remember, students must have a current sports physical on file before they can participate in practices or competitions.

Don't wait until the last minute—take advantage of the summer break and get ready for a successful fall sports season!

SAGINAW UNITED ATHLETICS – INCOMING FRESHMEN REGISTRATION

Are you interested in participating in athletics at Saginaw United High School during the 2026-27 school year?

All student-athletes must complete their athletic registration through FinalForms before they can participate in practices, tryouts, or competitions.

WHO?
All incoming 9th-grade students through 12th grade who are interested in participating in any Saginaw United sport.

WHAT?
Complete your athletic registration through FinalForms.

WHEN?
Registration should be completed as soon as possible and before the start of your sport's season.

If your student will need transportation, please complete the transportation request form as soon as possible to help us prepare routes and ensure students are assigned transportation for the upcoming school year.
