Thank you to the SBPD for sharing this important information on e-bikes with our MSHS students today. (Grades 5 & 6 will be tomorrow.) The law was signed in January, however, they wanted to provide time for riders to get the mandated license, insurance, and registration items - enforcement will begin July 1.

Congratulations to SBPS Superintendent Toni Violetti on being honored with the Distinguished Service Award by the Bergen County Association of School Administrators! This award recognizes her dedication to education, leadership, and commitment to supporting students.

We are proud to share that Saddle Brook School District has been selected as one of only nine school districts and charter schools in NJ to receive the 2025-2026 Lighthouse Award! At yesterday's NJ State Board of Education meeting, Saddle Brook was recognized for demonstrating measurable progress toward equitable outcomes and educational improvement. This achievement reflects the hard work, dedication, and commitment of our students, staff, families, Board of Education, and community. Together, we continue to create opportunities for all students to learn, grow, and succeed - proud to be a Falcon!

A huge thank you to our students, families, teachers, counselors, secretaries, attendance staff, and building administrators for making student attendance a priority! Due to your collective efforts, we have seen a significant decline in our Chronic Absenteeism rate, reaching just 6% last school year. This achievement means that none of our school buildings will be placed on a Corrective Action Plan for attendance - first time in years! Students need to be present in order to learn and grow. Thank you for partnering with us to ensure our students are in school, engaged, and ready to succeed every day.

Our K-6 students got to enjoy the beautiful weather during their field days. Fourth, fifth, and sixth graders traveled to our MSHS field for a day of friendly competition. Thank you to our athletic director, PE teachers, and principals for planning these events for our students (and for our custodial/maintenance crew for assisting with the preparation, transportation and clean up!)

Congratulations to Olivia Poplawski and Dylan Tuohy for being Saddle Brook High School's NJIC (North Jersey Interscholastic Conference) Sportsmanship Award winners! These student-athletes represent the best of our school community through their leadership, respect, teamwork, and positive attitude both on and off the field. We are proud to have them as part of our Falcon Team!
