Intern Spotlight: Meet Josh Labrado!

This summer, Josh joined Capital Program Management as a Project Coordinator Intern, gaining hands-on experience while supporting our team and contributing to the work behind our projects.

As an Architecture major, Josh had the opportunity to experience the owner’s representative side of project delivery while working alongside CPM’s licensed architects, Project Managers and Assistant Project Managers. His time with CPM provided exposure to the different roles and disciplines involved in supporting capital projects from the owner’s perspective.

Josh also supported our team with site assessments for Newark USD and final stages of school move in for Washington USD, gaining a broader understanding of how projects move from planning through delivery as well as other tasks in between.

We’re proud to provide opportunities for emerging professionals to learn more about the industry, build practical experience and work alongside experienced members of our team.

Now that Josh’s internship has come to an end, we want to thank him for his hard work, dedication and contributions to CPM. We wish him all the best in his future endeavors and look forward to seeing where his career takes him!

🎉 Congratulations to the Washington Unified School District on the ribbon cutting for the new Elkhorn Village Elementary School!

Before the ribbon-cutting ceremony, our Sacramento team had the opportunity to tour the new campus as CPM Project Managers, Dany Mendez and Omar Peña, hosted a private behind-the-scenes walkthrough. They shared insights into the planning, construction, and collaboration that brought this incredible project to life.

Following the tour, we joined the Washington Unified School District and community members in celebrating the official ribbon cutting of this beautiful new campus.

Thank you, Dany and Omar, for taking the time to share your knowledge and showcase this outstanding project. Congratulations to XL Construction, Studio W Architects, and everyone else involved in creating a lasting impact for the students, staff, and families of Washington Unified School District!

Great turnout this week as the CPM team led the San Mateo County Mosquito and Vector Control District's Board of Trustees on a site tour, reviewing progress on their 20,000 SF warehouse renovation.

Once complete next spring, the space will house the District's board room and dedicated facilities for technical staff, vehicles, and equipment — a big step forward for a team doing critical public health work across the county.

Beals Martin of Redwood City is the General Contractor on the project.

This year, CPM awarded two $1,000 scholarships through the Jay C Davison Memorial Scholarship to two outstanding students from the Vacaville Unified School District Unified School District. One recipient from Will C. Wood High School and one from Vacaville High School!
The scholarships were presented by CPM’s own, James Watson, in memory of our founder, Jay C Davison, a man whose legacy of leadership and community support continues to inspire us.
We believe in investing in the education of our local students and are excited to see the bright futures ahead for these deserving young people!
