Some of our 8th grade students will be participating in a Mock Interview Day as part of their College and Career Ready class with Ms. Music, and we’re looking for parent volunteers to help bring this experience to life.

Students have been preparing resumes, practicing interview skills, and learning how to present themselves professionally—now they’re ready to put it all into action!
We’re looking for volunteers to serve as interviewers for short, small-group mock interviews. No experience is needed, and questions will be provided.

Two time slots are available: 8:15-10:05am and 10:10-12:00pm

Congratulations to all three teams on a very successful season! Girls basketball are Division III champs. Boys basketball are Division II champs. Fern Bacon cheer’s rhythm and spirit were unmatched. Fern Bacon is so proud of all our student athletes!! 🖤🩵

Black Parent Involvement Day is Tuesday, February 17. Organized by the Black Parallel School Board, Black Parent Involvement Day is a call to action to visit your young scholar's classroom and help them succeed!

We are excited to share a little holiday cheer with you! The folks at Balfour Beatty and Clark Sullivan, who have been hard at work rebuilding our school, have generously donated a new sweatshirt or pair of sweatpants for EVERY SINGLE STUDENT. 🎁✨

Their kindness and community spirit mean so much to us, and we are thrilled to be able to pass this surprise along to our students. Each item was donated with care, and we hope it brings a bit of extra comfort and joy this season.

🎉 Our first Lotería Night was a blast! 50+ students, parents, and staff joined for chicken fingers, laughs, and plenty of winners. Thanks to everyone who came out and made it so much fun! 🃏✨

Community Schools make a difference!

Join us for Lotería Night tonight, Thursday, November 20! This fun, family-friendly event is open to everyone and is a great way to spend the evening together. We’ll have dinner available, plenty of chances to win exciting prizes, and lots of laughter as we play Lotería—a traditional Mexican picture-based bingo game that’s easy for all ages to enjoy. We hope to see you there!
