Orrick Law Firm has been an amazing community partner to Oak Ridge for over 20 years! Today a group of sixth graders joined lawyers from the law firm for a luncheon event! We are so grateful for this partnership that has brought 20 plus years of Oak Ridge students enrichment experiences such as Sly Park, B Street Theatre, and field trips around the Sacramento Region.

Last week we celebrated the end of our identity tenet with an identity showcase. In each classroom, students created a unique project that shared their identity. It was a truly beautiful display of our Mighty Oak community!

“It’s a great test of courage to bear defeat without losing heart!” This Mighty Oaks football team landed a playoff spot for the first time in school history! One of 8 elementary schools in SCUSD to earn the honor to play for the championship. We came up short today but these kids battled and showed heart to the final play! We are so proud of this group of athletes and the way they represented team Mighty Oaks all season long! Congratulations on a phenomenal season!

We were 244 families strong today for our final Lunch with Loves under our Mighty Oak! Community connections were made, fun games were played, laughs were plentiful and future Mighty Oak Scholars got to enjoy the campus with their big siblings! What a grand day to be a Mighty Oak! We will miss the shade of this beautiful Oak but can’t wait to see its preserved wood as a beautiful tribute in the new school building 💚
