School bus drivers are often the unsung heroes, but Kevin McKay is rising to the top. On Saturday, September 20th, CASTO's southern chapters were invited to the premier screening of the movie at the TCL Chinese Theater in Hollywood. State 1st Vice President Cindy Casarez, Chapter 1 President Gilbert Castro, Chapter 2 President Rosana Guerrero. Chapter 3 President Antonio Perez, and Chapter 4 President David Lee were accompanied by several other organization members to share in this special occasion. We were honored to be invited by Allied Global Marketing.
The Lost Bus is a 2025 American survival drama film directed by Paul Greengrass, who co-wrote the screenplay with Brad Ingelsby. It is based on the non-fiction 2021 book Paradise: One Town's Struggle to Survive an American Wildfire by Lizzie Johnson about the 2018 Camp Fire. It stars Matthew McConaughey, America Ferrera, Yul Vazquez, and Ashlie Atkinson. During the devastating fire, school bus driver Kevin McKay and teacher Mary Ludwig used the bus to transport children through the fire to safety.
