Please join us in congratulating Sacramento State’s FBLA Accounting Case Competition Team on an incredible achievement—4th Place Nationally at the FBLA Collegiate National Leadership Conference!

Competing against 35 teams from across the country, the team advanced through the preliminary round and earned a spot among the Top 12 finalists. After presenting again in the final round, they secured an outstanding 4th place finish in the nation.

This accomplishment reflects the talent, dedication, and professionalism of our students, as well as the support and mentorship provided by our Accounting faculty. We are proud to see our students representing the College of Business and Sacramento State on a national stage.

🌟 Student Assistant Spotlight: Jasmine Dhindsa 🌟

Meet Jasmine Dhindsa, a Student Assistant in the College of Business Office of Student Engagement (OSE)! 🐝💚

Jasmine enjoys spending her free time watching movies and TV shows, creating content on Instagram, and exploring new food spots around town. Her creativity and enthusiasm help make OSE a welcoming and engaging space for students.

One fun fact about Jasmine? She has been a vegetarian her entire life! 🌱

When Ibiso (Audrey) began Sacramento State's Master of Science in Business Analytics (MSBA) program, she had no coding experience and came from a background in accounting and finance.

Today, she's building machine learning models, creating business dashboards, and preparing for a career as a financial or data analyst.

"If you put your mind to it, you can achieve it. The program supports you every step of the way."

Ibiso chose Sac State's MSBA program because of its focus on AI and machine learning, as well as its accelerated timeline. Her favorite course? Machine Learning and AI—a challenging but rewarding experience that pushed her outside of her comfort zone.

Yesterday, the Sacramento State College of Business welcomed members of our Business Advisory Council for an afternoon of collaboration, conversation, and celebration.

Council members heard updates from Dean Jean-Francois Coget, learned about the growing impact of our programs, and connected with fellow business leaders committed to supporting student success.

We are grateful for the expertise, mentorship, and partnership our advisory council members bring to the College of Business community. A special Thank You to BAC member Tim Stenvick for hosting us at the Sutter Club in downtown Sacramento!

Meet Reese Snow, one of our dedicated Student Assistants in the Office of Student Engagement! 🌟

Reese is currently studying Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting and serves as an Assistant Office Coordinator in the College of Business. Her favorite part about working in OSE is connecting with fellow students and helping answer their questions, creating a welcoming and supportive environment for everyone who visits the office. 💚💛

After graduation, Reese hopes to become a CPA and pursue a career in tax accounting. Outside of work and school, she enjoys drawing, painting, and spending time with her two cats, Spoon and Fork 🐱🎨
