Well yes but just a tad.
The truth is a set of triceps means a lil somethin. Rarely does someone with some massive “back arms” lack above average general strength.
On the contrary there are people with huge biceps that are all show and no GO.
I still refuse to choose a side (aesthetics v strength). At my core I’m a lifter. All movements have a purpose and I like to include a tad of everything in my training.
HOW TO TRAIN TRICEPS
1. Medial Head- The thick piece of meat above the elbow is built with all press variations. Include pressing 2-3x/week.
2. The Long Head- This is commonly referred to as the “back arm” and it’s built by doing extension movements with the elbows near or above the head. Ex. French Press, Skull Crusher, Overhead Extension
3. Lateral Head- This is that nice rope you see in the picture 😎. These are usually not lacking in most people’s training. Ex. Tricep kickbacks, Dips, and the most common standing cable extension variations.
Include these movements or variations 2-3x/week and slowly but surely your triceps will come along 🤙🏽🤙🏽🤙🏽
