On Saturday October 19th, Region 3/5 hosted their Fall Meeting at Windsor Middle School! Members had the chance to learn more about leadership opportunities, STAR events, and national programs through workshops and fun icebreakers. Members were also able to bond and make lasting connections! We’re excited to see members compete at the spring meeting!

Introducing our last state project goal, the national program Stand Up! Stand Up national peer education program guides members to develop, plan, carry out, and evaluate advocacy activities to improve the quality of life in their communities. The three units are assess current needs, educate others regarding concerns, and advocate so that they can make a difference now and in the future. For more information, please visit the links below!

California FCCLA wants to recognize your amazing chapter members for all their contributions to FCCLA!
California FCCLA proudly recognizes one individual each month as the Member of the Month. This individual is nominated by any CA FCCLA Member and reviewed by the State Executive Council. All nominations are reviewed based on the member's impact on the organization, participation in FCCLA and their community involvement. Individuals selected as Member of the Month will be recognized via social media and will be considered for Member of the Year.

On July 22nd, our state officers held a virtual/hybrid Region Officer Leadership Training!
The training helped Region Officers develop leadership skills and gain knowledge about FCCLA. State officers held workshops that focused on leadership development, Students Taking Action with Recognition (STAR) Events, and National Programs. In addition, the officers participated in individual officer position trainings and team building activities.
We hope Region Officers had fun and learned the skills they need to lead successful regions!!

Our competitors did an amazing job earning 14 gold medals 🥇, 42 silver medals 🥈, and 9 bronze medals 🥉 across 30+ Students Taking Action with Recognition (STAR) Events. Congratulations to all competitors who competed at the National Leadership Conference! We are so proud of each and every one of you!
