More than 20 construction workers in Oakland are stepping forward to recover over $300,000 in unpaid wages tied to a publicly funded housing development, and their fight is moving forward.
At Legal Aid at Work, we’re proud to represent workers in this case. Senior Staff Attorney, Alexx Campbell is working directly with workers as they seek accountability and fair pay for their labor.
This moment reflects what’s possible when workers take action and speak up after months of underpayment, supported by community partners, and backed by legal advocacy pushing wage claims forward.
These workers helped build housing for their community. They deserve to be paid fully and fairly for that work.
