PBL Leadership Academy 2022–2023: Team Application for Admission 09/08/2022

PBL Leadership Academy 2022–2023: Team Application for Admission

PBL Leadership Academy 2022–2023: Team Application for Admission now live‼️ (priority application deadline September 16)

and the are seeking teams of California public educators to join the

Our aim is to support teams 👥who develop and spread literacy- and math-rich project based learning curriculum, especially as a means to the address gaps among of students. We are working together to use PBL to collaboratively design and share authentic learning experiences.

Please use this form to apply on behalf of a team to join the 2022–2023 PBL Leadership Academy. It is our hope that this application takes no more that 15 minutes to complete. If you have any trouble with this Google form, a PDF of the application is available here and you may email your responses to Randy Scherer at [email protected]

Funding for a significant portion of the PBL Leadership Academy is provided by the California Department of Education. Teams pay a one-time fee of $650 per participant, which enrolls their participants in all aspects of the PBL Leadership Academy for the 2022–2023 school year.

This application asks for information about your team and your interest and capacity to collaborate to develop and spread equity-focused PBL curriculum. Please include names and contact information for four team members. Each team should include at least one classroom teacher-leader and at least one school site or district administrator.

One team member can complete this application, but we have seen that a team's success is tied directly to their engagement and the nature of their collaboration. For that reason, we ask that each accepted team provide a letter of support from a relevant site-based or district leader.

Our 2022–2023 in-person convening dates are:
October 20–21, 2022: Fall Leadership Institute: everyone attends in person at HTH.

April 27–28, 2023: Spring Leadership Institute: everyone attends in person at HTH.

The 2022–2023 PBL Leadership Academy includes a variety of online experiences, including monthly coaching from an HTH Mentor, online workshops, and more. These also include opportunities to invite additional colleagues and students at no cost.

For more information about the full PBL Leadership Academy experience, please visit: https://hthgse.edu/professional_learning/pbl-leadership-academy/

Upon completion of this application, PBL Leadership Academy staff will communicate with your team about next steps. Because teams must manage travel logistics, teams may be accepted on a rolling basis so that each team has a much time as possible to arrange for their trips to HTH.

The priority deadline to apply is 5 pm on September 16, 2022.

If you have questions please contact Randy Scherer at [email protected]
