Today, the College of Education, Sacramento State generously provided space and sponsorship for a powerful gathering of local and regional Teachers of the Deaf!

It was a meaningful and productive meeting where educators came together to voice concerns, exchange ideas, and share valuable resources to support our Deaf students.

A special shoutout to our incredible faculty member, Kovina Miller, for sparking the momentum and helping make this happen!

Thank you for believing in this vision—let’s get started. 💛💚

Today, four of our Deaf Studies faculty were honored with the Outstanding Wisdom and Leadership (OWL) Award from the Peer and Academic Resource Center (PARC)!

This award is extra special because it comes directly from students—recognizing faculty who have supported, encouraged, and uplifted them on their academic journeys.

We’re incredibly grateful for our strong partnership with PARC, which continues to provide our program with amazing ASL tutors and supplemental instruction leaders.

Thank you, PARC, for the ongoing support and this meaningful recognition!
