The month of September the Foundation continued collaborating with our winning 2022 All-America City partners, met with city council, and continued organizing our 8th annual Walk 4 Literacy. Another great literacy month!

Walk 4 Literacy is THIS Saturday!

Looking forward to seeing everyone at 9am for the walk as we raise awareness and funds for the literacy crisis. We will be starting at Oak Park and walking 4 miles in Sacramento's Promise Zone.

Pre-pandemic, 51% of Sacramento County’s children could not read at grade-level. Post-pandemic, we can expect to see the literacy crisis deepen with estimated rates of 60%-70% of children not reading at grade-level.
