Congratulations to our BN XO for being one of the top cadets nationwide. This past week CDT Canchico had the opportunity to represent Forged Gold Battalion and being recipient of the George C. Marshall Award.

“Honored to represent our program as a recipient of the George C. Marshall Award at the George C. Marshall Leadership Seminar held at the Virginia Military Institute.
Standing alongside the top cadets from every brigade across the nation was a humbling reminder of the caliber of leaders preparing to commission into the United States Army. Together, we studied the life and legacy of General George C. Marshall, arguably the most consequential leader of the 20th century, who guided our nation through an era of uncertainty and technological transformation in warfare while leading with humility, character, and selfless service.

Hearing firsthand words of wisdom and encouragement from Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. Dan Caine reinforced the responsibility we carry as future officers. His message was clear: leadership will not always be easy, but when faced with uncertainty, ask yourself, “What would Marshall do?”
I’m grateful for the experience, the mentorship, and the legacy we are now entrusted to carry forward.”

UC Davis ROTC will be hosting a Norwegian Foot March (NFM) on 6–7 March 2026.

The Norwegian Foot March is a 30 km (18.6-mile) timed foot march conducted in accordance with Norwegian Armed Forces standards. Successful participants may earn the Norwegian Foot March Badge, which is authorized for wear in accordance with U.S. Army regulations.
