From kitchens in France and California to competing on “Top Chef,” alumna Tanya Holland’s (Col ’87) culinary journey has taken her all over the world. But her love for food, hospitality, and community started right here on Grounds. Holland returned this summer to teach a special course in UVA’s Teaching Kitchen.

For Holland, success starts before the cooking even begins. "When I put on my apron, it means, 'Okay, we’re ready for business.'"
