We are so grateful for all who made our Rey of Hope celebration a great success! What a well to ring in our 20th anniversary! We are blessed by our community who believes in our mission and supports our students!

Last week we celebrated our 1st Jesuit Week at Cristo Rey! Our daily themes focused on the Universal Apostolic Preferences. To kick off the week, Fr. Kraemer, S.J., the Jesuits West Regional Promoter, shared about vocations. On the same day, we had 23 students and 3 staff accompany students on the Laudato Si' Advocacy Summit to join 300 other young people from all over CA to meet with legislators to talk about immigrant, ecological, and housing justice. During the rest of the week, we also had students present on their Work Study Places that "walk with the excluded" by sharing the mission of the organization and how to volunteer. As a Community of Companions filled with Hope, our Saints exemplify being Men and Women for Others.
