Beacon at ARC

Beacon at ARC Beacon: American River College's award-winning peer group tutoring program. Students Helping Students. Your study group meets two hours a week outside of class.

A trained tutor who has successfully completed the course you are currently taking works with a small group of you and your classmates. You work together and learn from each other. Attendance is taken and you and your classmates make a commitment to attend sessions all semester. Your tutor also meets with your instructor every week to discuss how best to help you learn.
