MALE ATHLETE OF THE YEAR
is the 2025-26 Male Athlete of the Year! Guzman delivered one of the most impressive seasons in program history, earning Preseason All-American, All-Conference First Team, and Academic All-State honors while establishing himself as one of the premier players in California junior college baseball. Competing in the highly competitive Big 8 Conference — widely regarded as the top baseball conference in the state with eight teams advancing to the playoffs — Quiarte-Guzman finished second in the conference in both batting average (.392) and hits (67). He led Cosumnes River College in at-bats (171), hits (67), walks (17), doubles (22), extra-base hits (26), on-base percentage (.467), and slugging percentage (.591), while also ranking second on the team in RBIs (35), home runs (4), and hit-by-pitches (9). Beyond the numbers, he served as a leader, role model, and respected teammate throughout his career, helping guide the Hawks through the No. 1 ranked strength of schedule in the state.
“A phenomenal player on the field, but an even better human being off of it. One of the best players I have ever coached and one of the best to ever come out of CRC.”
- Baseball Head Coach Don Mico
