I can't believe it has been so long since I've posted on my Bridges page! I miss working with my students and partners and all of he amazing experiences we shared!
As most of my friends know, I moved to Las Vegas last year and life has been crazy busy since!
I keep thinking I needed to find time to post and today decided it isn't 'finding' time but 'making' time that will get it done...
so here I am sitting on a plane waiting for everyone to board and suddenly thought- here's some time!
For all who have been so supportive of me and this passion of mine- thank you for your patience!
I have decided to make some changes to 'how' I will continue with the goals and efforts with Bridges for Humanity.
I am working on a new website called StoriesAreGifts.com.
I will post more about this and my plan soon!

I am so excited to share the news that my first children's book is now officially 'published'! It is available in hardcover, paperback and soon ebook version.
This work will provide another opportunity to support our Bridges for Humanity organization-- 10% of any profits from the sale of my books will be donated to Bridges.
I am so incredibly grateful for the awesome support I have received from friends and family (and from friends of family and friends)! Please know how much this means to me!
This is my first published work - and the first of 5 books in The Secret of Making Wishes series. I have learned so much from this experience- and can't wait to continue the journey!
Happy Friday!!
As I reviewed my new student's self assessment paperwork today- I had goosebumps!!! He is a young 20 year old man with such insight and compassion! I'm so looking forward to his project- I have no doubt it will be amazing and will inspire others!
Thank you Ramon for sharing your experiences and perspective... and choosing to do a BridgesForHumanity project!
More connecting! Signed up another student- Can't wait to get started! Excited to work with Ramon- I know his project will be amazing!

Thank you Paul and Mersadez for being so patient with my crazy schedule!!
I'm so glad we could finally get together today!
Paul created this art piece to highlight Mersadez' story in a picture- he called it 'A Sunny Disposition' because that's the kind of person he sees in Mersadez!
Thanks Andy for joining us!!
What an amazing day! Our first I BUILD BRIDGES event and it was amazing! Our students did a super job, Diane Davidson accompanied by Clemon Charles sang my favorite song- What a Wonderful World, and great attendance!
Thanks to everyone who supported us for this very special occasion!
Pictures will be posted by the end of the week...😊😊
This has been an awesome week! We are getting so close to completing our crowd-fund video- hopefully just a couple more weeks! Thanks to incredible support from friends, colleagues and even people we didn't know before but have now become friends of Bridges!
Yesterday I met with 2 of our current students who are working on projects- they shared some amazing insights they have already gained in the short time since they started the program- I'm so inspired by them!
Today- we were invited to a 'job fair' at the Art Institute- and 26 students signed up to get more information about doing a Bridges' project! 3 people expressed interest in becoming a student Partner and sharing their stories!
AND all provided great feedback saying how they believe that what we are doing is so important... And needed!
So YES!- I am super happy that things are moving forward in such amazing ways, and mucho grateful to everyone who gives their time, efforts and support for Bridges!
Dreams really can become reality!!😀
I am continually reminded how connecting with people brings inspiration and hope! I connect with people every day, many who are new connections for me, and EVERY experience inspires me in some way!
This week I met a NEW student who will be doing a Bridges project, a NEW Partner with great heart and a story that will bring hope to a future student, and an artist who wants to be involved with Bridges and share his talents and experience. I met with several other people that I am already connected with, who so willingly shared their ideas and expertise in support of our work...
We should never underestimate the power of human connection and never miss an opportunity to connect! We can always learn something!!
Make a new connection, build a bridge of greater understanding!!
Bridges for humanity- building bridges ONE CONNECTION AT A TIME!
