We had the opportunity to see some great murals created by Chicano artist and activists that used this art form to reclaim the public space and consciousness in San Francisco. These powerful murals encouraged community participation and aided community development, Chinaco murals also provided visual imagery that supported civil rights struggles while reclaiming cultural heritage.
SESI had the privilege of experiencing Women's Building Mural, Balmy Alley Murals Quetzalcoarl and La Llorona Mural. Here some highlights of our adventure!
