*There is no refund for No Show. We do not offer classes that did not have enough demand at the time of registration. If a class is cancelled due to insufficient enrollment, tuition will be refunded on the first day of the class. There will be no refund for no show. Join us at the Buddhist Church of Sacramento on Thursday, Dec. 14 for an evening of music with the "Cherry Blossomz" group.

Admission is FREE. Meet the artists after the show. Also, we're accepting canned food donations for our holiday food drive.

The Buddhist Church of Sacramento is running a fundraiser to support the Lahaina Relief Fund. Please consider supporting if you can.

The Buddhist Church of Sacramento is fundraising for the benefit of the Lahaina Hongwanji Mission which was destroyed by the wildfires in August.

We are now taking preorders for Kushiyaki Bentos. Preorders are due by 11:59pm, Friday, September 15. Pickup is Sunday, September 17, from 11 am to 1 pm.

Each bento includes a teriyaki beef skewer, grilled chicken skewer, and grilled shrimp skewer served over rice with a side of kimchee and garlic edamame.

Limited quantities will be available for purchase after the Ohigan service on Sept. 17. The cost is $15, with all proceeds going to Lahaina.

We are offering two short programs this summer.

Japanese for Travelers – June 5, 6, 7, and 8. (Monday through Thursday) 7pm to 8:30 pm Tuition is $60. No prerequisite required.

Introduction to Basic Kanji – July 17, 18, 19, 20, 24, 25, 26, and 27. (8-day session, Monday through Thursday) 7 pm to 8 pm. Tuition is $160. Hiragana and Katakana Knowledge is helpful.
