📢MAY ADVOCACY UPDATE: APTA and rehabilitation advocates across the country are urging Congress to act now to support HR 8386 in repealing Multiple Procedure Payment Reduction (MPPR)!
MPPR penalizes providers when scheduling multiple therapies on the same date which disproportionately affects beneficiaries in rural and underserved communities where transportation issues may require therapy services to be delivered on the same day to reduce the need for repeat visits to the clinic.
✨Why This Matters
Patients deserve timely, high-quality rehabilitation care without unnecessary payment cuts standing in the way.
➡️Contact members of Congress and ask them to:
Support the RECOVER Act (H.R. 8386)
Repeal the outdated MPPR policy
Protect patient access to physical therapy services

‼️⚠️APRIL ADVOCACY UPDATE: Another push for AB 2497: Modernization of PT Practice Act!⚠️‼️
Musculoskeletal conditions make up 1/3 of healthcare visits, yet outdated laws still delay care and limit access.
AB 2497 modernizes physical therapy regulations, improving access to timely, effective treatments like dry needling. This bill ensures Californians get the coordinated care they need, while maintaining strong patient protections and oversight.

📢🚨March Advocacy Update!
A proposed federal rule could reclassify physical therapy and other professional programs—cutting student loan limits in HALF and creating new barriers for future healthcare providers. At a time of nationwide shortages, this could have serious consequences for our workforce and patient care.
The good news? Action is already being taken—but your voice is critical.
Take a few minutes today to contact your representative and urge support for H.R. 6718 and H.R. 6574 to protect access to professional education. LINK IN BIO!
Your future. Your profession. Your voice. 💪

CASSIG showed up at CPTA Legislative Day 🔥
Spent the day learning, advocating, and stepping into our future as PTs. We dove into AB 2497—a bill that could modernize PT practice in California and expand what we can do for our patients.
This is bigger than us—this is about access, equity, and better care. Proud to be part of a profession that keeps evolving 💯
