I think this is a pretty well-balanced article. I'm particularly happy the writer "book-ended" the article with LA teachers' perspectives. I happen to be the latter bookend - See a snippet from my conversation with her in the last 2 paragraphs.

I am seeing these trends first hand, and participating in some of them; however there is one glaring omission - A focus on diversity in the teacher workforce and an emphasis on how this and other efforts can honor the diverse backgrounds of our students.

New approaches to assessment, concerns over security and privacy, and reimagining what defines classrooms and instruction are among factors that will drive education in the coming year.
