A teacher gave a balloon to every student, who had to inflate it, write their name on it and throw it in the hallway. The teacher then mixed all the balloons. The students were then given 5 minutes to find their own balloon. Despite a hectic search, no one found their balloon.

At that point, the teacher told the students to take the first balloon that they found and hand it to the person whose name was written on it. Within 5 minutes, everyone had their own balloon.
The teacher said to the students: "These balloons are like happiness. We will never find it if everyone is looking for their own. But if we care about other people's happiness, we'll find ours too."

For in unity and solidarity, We find the strength to set us free, From negativity's grip, we break away, And bask in the beauty of a brighter day.

THURSDAY, October 19 and you won't want to miss it. First 125 vehicles will get a special gift bag, fraud prevention materials and swag from AARP California.

Did you know that every two seconds someone’s identity is stolen? Protect your financial health by properly disposing sensitive paper documents by avoiding falling victim to frauds and scams.

AARP California in partnership with the Hamptons Community Foundation and Team Lisa Kaplan, Sacramento City Councilwoman, District 1 is offereing a FREE drive-through paper shred event. Register and bring your personal paper documents to have shredded on-site, free of charge. AARP membership is not required.

EVENT: Sacramento Community Shred Event. FREE and open to all.

👉Old tax returns, checks, invoices
👉Old financial, real estate documents

WHAT NOT TO BRING:
🚫Binder clips, wired/hanging file folders, plastic, rubber, metals, aluminum, ewaste, glass, hardbound or wired books, xrays, pre-shredded documents, etc.

☝️Attendees will need to dispose and remove their own containers, boxes, bags, storage bins, etc.

😀The first 125 vehicles will receive an AARP gift bag with Fraud Watch Network information and AARP swag.
