Welcome to Sacramento's German Language School at the Sacramento Turn Verein. We are devoted to the promotion and teaching of the German language.
For more than 150 years, the Sacramento Turn Verein has been recognized as the center for German language and culture in our area. Through these years, the Turn Verein has honored our German roots through participation in activities that bind us together – those involving German song, dance, sport, literature and language. Even to this day, the German Language School of the Sacramento Turn Verein continues to operate in an environment rich in German language and culture.

Get Ready for German Trivia Night — A First for the STV Library!

We're excited to announce something brand new for the German-American Cultural Center-Library: German Trivia Night! Join us for a free, fun-filled evening of friendly competition featuring five fast rounds of ten questions each, covering everything from history and geography to food, film, music, and culture across Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. Play on your own or join a team — either way, you're in for a great time. No encyclopedic knowledge required; just bring your curiosity, your competitive spirit, and maybe brush up on your Wurst varieties. It's going to be a great night — Viel Spaß!

Oktoberfest at the Sacramento Turn Verein Starts tomorrow!!
The Sacramento Turn Verein Alpentänzer Schuhplattler will perform both Friday and Saturday at our 56th Oktoberfest. The Alpentänzers and Alpentanzkapelle are a section of the STV. We are proud to have them in the Haus!
