We've all heard that phrase, "the hand that rocks the cradle rules the world."

If you ask Judith, she'll say it's she who knows how to use her kitchen since the health of the house starts there.

This was more than just a class about canning.

This was the first of a series designed to restore the sacredness to the kitchen.

In addition to , participants took home jam and have been added to our canning community.

Now, when we have pounds and pounds of harvest, we can assemble a crew and make magic.

You can also read Judith's blog about what Grandma knew about food and healing to get some game on why the kitchen has been called the heart of the home. -> https://tr.ee/WhatGmaKnew

Sometimes we overthink self-sufficiency.

We believe we have to live in the middle of the forest with no lights, no water, and a wood stove to homestead.

That's not true...

Before we made our move, we started with small things at home, consistently, over time, building habits that formed the foundation of a self-sufficient lifestyle.

Sign up for our newsletter, make us your forever farm home, and we'll share those little things with you. -> https://tr.ee/Lockin

Our land is protection against the things that actually drain us:

Dependency.
Disconnection.
Feeding ourselves from food that comes from thousands of miles away.

Our ancestors understood something simple:

The more you can grow, preserve, and share—the stronger our communities become.

Garlic is a reminder.

That’s why Liberated Harvest exists…to feed you correctly.

***New Soap Drop***
Every year, we have interns from the Met High School who spend the year working with us.

Zach, this years intern decided he wanted to curate soap for his class project.

Root + Resin was created as a return to slower ways of caring for the body—where cleansing wasn’t about stripping away, but reconnecting.

Your skin isn’t a problem to fix; it's something to steward.

Our grandmothers knew something we've forgotten.

Food was never just something you ate.

It was care.
It was preparation.
It was wisdom passed from hand to hand.

Before convenience replaced connection, kitchens were places where families learned how to nourish, heal, preserve, and provide.

Those lessons aren’t gone.

They’re waiting to be practiced again.
