OUR GROUP IN SACRAMENTO, "CAFFE"

"6 years ago, we started C.A.F.F.E., Clothing and Food For Everyone. At first, it was just me and few close friends, but now we have over 400 volunteers helping with the effort. As the name implies, our group seeks to serve the less fortunate by providing them with food, clothing, blankets, shoes, water, snacks and toiletries. We meet at Cesar Chavez Park (downtown Sacramento) every Sunday of the month at 8am. We serve and support, unconditionally, all those in need. At this time, we are funded only by our own financial resources and private donations. Anyone needing further info or wishing to donate may contact me, Armando Flores, at 916-799-6652."
"Why do I do this? I saw that there was a need and I had to do something about it. I am a part of this community and doing nothing was not an option for me. Growing up, my mother was always feeding folks. She always impressed on me the importance of sharing what you had with others. She taught me well. Proudly, I am my mother's son!!"
