WIB at Sac State

Karina is finishing her last semester at Sac State and will be graduating with a degree in Business with a concentration in Accounting. At the beginning of the pandemic, she was accepted into the business program, so joining WIB allowed her to meet other women in a male-dominated major.

Outside of WIB, Karina enjoys exploring different hiking trails, roller skating, drinking coffee/boba, and spending time with her loved ones.

This semester, she is the President of WIB and Delta Sigma Pi and is excited to grow and prosper among like-minded individuals. Being a part of Women in Business has allowed Karina to make connections and receive thoughtful advice from guest speakers.

Karina is excited to meet new members and see WIB grow!

Lejla is a third-year student at Sac State’s College of Business. Majoring in General Management and Minoring in Creative Writing, she will be the Executive Vice President this semester. Alongside working with WIB, Lejla is also a BizGen1 Peer Mentor in the Office of Student Engagement in Tahoe Hall.

She enjoys reading, writing, spending time with friends, playing video games, and has recently picked up trying out new recipes as a hobby! In the past, Lejla also enjoyed traveling to different countries to visit her various family members spread throughout Europe.

Excited to continue her journey with WIB, Lejla promises to work hard and make WIB into a club worth joining. She’s excited to meet members, new and old, and experience this semester with them!

Reyna Garcia is privileged to be the current VP of Finance; she is a third-year student at Sac State majoring in Business Finance. She has been the CEO and Co-Founder of a small transportation company for more than five years. After obtaining her bachelor's degree, her vision is to open a non-profit organization to help small businesses grow financially.

She enjoys most outdoor activities such as kayaking, paddle boarding, biking, among other activities.

WIB has helped Reyna network and meet other successful women. She was excited to learn more about WIB, especially the guest speaker who inspired and advised her on reaching her goals. Reyna is an empowered woman who believes in how hard work pays off.

This semester Maira is the current VP of Marketing! She is a third-year student majoring in Marketing and minoring in Spanish. She is currently working for a catering company where she is the Social Media Marketing Analyst and manages all of the company's social media platforms!

Maira enjoys going on long hikes with her dog during her free time and spending time with her family! She also loves reading books; her favorite genres are romance, horror, and thriller!

Maira is excited to be a part of Women in Business and network with all of you!

Natali was a part of the marketing committee last fall semester and is now the VP of Marketing for this semester! She is a General Communications major and is pursuing her minor in Business Administration. Natali is on track to graduate this spring semester! She is also a proud dog mom of two! Currently, Natali is a fully dedicated student and learning more and more there is to marketing! She is very passionate about her work and is very dedicated and focused.
Natali enjoys spending her free time with her dogs, horseback riding by the beach, spending time with family, reading new books, socializing, and expanding her knowledge of marketing!
Being a part of the Women in Business has helped Natali excel in marketing as well as allowed her to network with professionals, and become more social and confident in the professional world. Natali cannot wait to meet all the members of the Women in Business and hopes to network!

Harmeen is a third-year student completing her degree in Business Administration with concentrations in Marketing, Entrepreneurship, and General Management. This semester, she is the VP of Membership for WIB. She is also a Marketing Liaison Student Assistant in the Office of Student Engagement at Sac State’s College of Business.

Harmeen enjoys spending quality time in nature, going on road trips with her family, spending time with friends, watching k-dramas, reading, listening to music, and doing DIY activities. In addition, she likes visiting cold places where it snows and enjoys wintertime activities like sitting by the fireplace, reading a cozy novel, and enjoying a side of hot chocolate.

After being a member of WIB for the past two years, Harmeen has learned about the importance of female leadership in the business field and made many new connections. She has learned skills that are the key to success in the workplace and strives to encourage other young women to learn and gain new experiences from this club.

Shivani is the VP of Administration for WIB this semester. She is finishing her last semester at Sac State and will be graduating with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a concentration in General Management. She recently moved to Sacramento as she could finally attend in-person classes.

She enjoys listening to music, reading books, going on walks, playing basketball, and spending time with her family and friends in her free time.

Being a part of Women in Business has allowed her to make connections with her peers and network with professionals in different industries. Shivani can’t wait to connect in that way with all of you!

Briana Esquivel is the current VP of Events and Philanthropy and Fundraising; she is a graduating senior majoring in Child Development-Individualized, dog mama, and entrepreneur. Bri enjoys traveling and spending time with her friends and family. Currently, Briana is working as an assistant area manager for Learning Jungle Schools, in which she oversees three campuses locally, all adjunct/teaching staff, and all general area operations. She is also working on opening up her own child care facility, BAEs Education Center.

A young advocate for Early Childhood Education, Briana is passionate about her career, vision, and goals. In addition to that, she has recently taken an interest in furthering her education and pursuing a career teaching at the university level. After she graduates, Briana plans on obtaining the MA in Education program at Sac State- Educational Leadership.

Savonie is a 3rd-year student here at Sac State as a Business Administration; Management of Human Resources and Organizational Behavior major. Savonie has been employed with Golden 1 Credit Union since 2019. From her work experience, her strong suit is member relations and financial service. She looks forward to bringing this skill set to the environment this semester as the current Co-VP of Recruitment of WIB.

She enjoys going to the gym, traveling, and learning how to cook new recipes during her free time. In addition, Savonie loves to make memories and spend quality time with her family and friends, whether that’s taking weekend trips or simply enjoying each other's presence!

Savonie is passionate about positive self-development to encourage others to strive to become their best selves. After obtaining her bachelor's degree, she is looking to continue her education at Sac State to achieve a Master’s of Business Administration.

Savonie is honored to be a part of the WIB board and can’t wait to meet the new wibbies! 🙂

Welcome to our meet the wibbie series for Spring 2022!✨✨

Tamara Muomua is a transfer student and will be graduating this Spring with her Bachelor’s in Business Administration, with a concentration in HROB. Upon her acceptance into Sac State, she was also accepted into the Business Honors Program, which allowed her to learn from business professionals and push herself out of her comfort zone to gain new skills.

She was recently employed by the College of Continuing Education, where she’ll be able to gain more administrative skills, and is excited to be working with an HR Specialist.

In her free time, Tamara loves spending time with her family and getting back into her past hobby of sketching. She has a lot of love for her family and is excited to graduate as a first-generation student.

Tamara enjoys meeting new people and is excited to meet new WIB members this semester!
