GEO Academy Horticulture students got to visit the UC Berkeley Botanical Garden!The GEO 10th graders got to further learn about a living museum of educational plant life and plant regions. Then spent the afternoon exploring and documenting the UCB campus Iconic and historical landmarks!

GEO Env Design Walking Field trip to the Greater Sacramento Urban League for their Urban Photography project. An immersive site analysis for their planning site they are currently working with UC Davis Landscape Architects, proposing healthy and equitable urban spaces such as complete street streetscapes, transportation, bus shelters design and brownfield remediation at the Grand Ave and Marysville Blvd corridors. Great shout out to GSUL for hosting us and showing us all the amazing programs they offer to youth and the Del Paso Heights community.

The 10th Grade GEO Horticulture students hosted 5th graders this week from TRUSD Fairbanks Elementary School from 10am-1pm in the GEO Garden and Kitchen. GEO Horticulture students mentored and showcased leadership teaching about plant science and nutrition through hands-on garden activities and cooking their lunch. 🍃🪴🪏

Perfecting their Urban Photo Voice! GEO Environmental Design students polished their Urban Landscape Photography skills. Using the GUHS Track field as a source of inspiration, took Photos of urban elements with a design theme of Complementary Colors in the Landscape. Taking 10 minutes of enjoying the beautiful morning and camaraderie and improvised exercise, they finally got back on task and on to capturing the assignment!

Preparing and Loading Up for 2026 SMUD CA Solar Regatta. Working together as a team, GEO Senior students in the GEO Natural Resource class, designed, built and will race their own solar-powered boat tomorrow Friday 5/1/2026. They will be judged for speed, distance, maneuverability and more. Wonderful how Students will get hands-on, out-of-the-classroom experience with renewable energy and engineering!
