Honored to present ACR 127 to declare January 30th through February 5th as Physician Anesthesiologists Week in the State of California. These professionals are highly trained and skilled at keeping patients safe before, during, and after surgeries. When I was a resident as well as an attending, I worked closely with physician anesthesiologists to ensure my patients are kept alive, and for that, I will be eternally grateful. Thank you California Society of Anesthesiologists!
Yesterday evening I had the pleasure of speaking at the California Society of Anesthesiologists’ annual membership conference. It was wonderful to hear about the work physicians are doing to make a difference in healthcare throughout our state and to share my experience in medicine & politics. Thank you so much for having me!
: MÉCANISME D'ACTION
_____________________________________

In 2018, El Segundo High School’s Biomedical Science Pathway established a partnership, through PLTW - Project Lead The Way (PLTW), with UCLA and the California Society of Anesthesiologists (CSA) that offers educational enrichment to its PLTW program. The partnership began as a pilot program with two other high schools in addition to ESHS: Venice High School and the Girls Leadership Academy.

This exciting educational opportunity brings together specially trained teachers, students and physician residents from UCLA to help deliver real world biomedical skills and application to the ESHS pathway classroom.

The program has been so successful that it earned CSA a Component Recognition Award in 2020 from the American Society of Anesthesiologists for excellence in innovation.
