Hello High School Seniors & Parents!!!

As it gets closer and closer to the end of the school year and you are preparing for college, we want you to know that we are here to help you complete your college paperwork! The financial aid application also known as the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) or the California Dream Act application should be at the top of that list! If you are a senior and have not filled out the FAFSA/Dream Act yet, our team of college mentors are here to help. Today, March 2nd, is the application deadline, we will be providing our final informative workshop for SCUSD seniors to fill out and get answers to questions about the FAFSA/Dream Act. What You Should Have Ready for Completing FAFSA

• Student’s Social Security Number and Birthdate

• Student’s Alien Registration Number (If NOT a US Citizen but a Eligible Non-Citizen)

• Parents’ Social Security Number and Birthdate

• Parents’ Marriage/Remarriage/Divorced Date (Month/Year)

• Parents’ 2019 IRS 1040 Income Tax and 2019 W-2s

• Student’s 2019 IRS 1040 Income Tax (If you filed)

Students need a FSA ID to start the FAFSA. Students and their Parents each should have created an FSA ID. If not, below is the link to go created one https://studentaid.gov/fsa-id/create-account/launch

(Note: If student have a Social Security Number but Parents Do Not have a Social Security number, Students can still complete the FAFSA)

Please Create a FSA ID Prior to attending the FAFSA Workshop to make things easier for you. If you already completed your FAFSA, Great Job! You should still log in to check your FAFSA Status. March 3rd was such an amazing night for our students. From giving high 5's to the players, to holding the flag during the national anthem, and participating in timeout activities on the floor, we are confident that they will NEVER forget this experience. The Men's and Women's Leadership Academy of Sacramento, CA took 24 students across the country for a life changing experience. Follow our students as they journey outside of their community, city, or state for the first time to experience some things that we are unable to track with normal data gathering methods, so we call it Life Data.
