Art Beast Children's Studio

Art Beast Children's Studio Art Beast is a licensed preschool offering full time and part time care to children 2 to 6 years old.

Art Beast Studio provides 3000 square feet of open studio space and arts exploration rooms so that children can dig into the arts, movement, and play based learning. Our school age care program offers licensed care to children 5 to 10 years old. The founders of Art Beast also operate a preschool- Artenia Beast's Academy of Play and Whimsy located at 5265 H Street (www.arteniabeast.com) and a child development center- Art Beast Child Development Center on 47th Avenue (www.artbeastcdc.com)

We spent some quiet time today sitting with a sunflower 🌻

Our class observed its petals, the textured center, the gentle curve of the stem, taking in the little details at their own pace. Still life gave them space to slow down, to notice, and to create what they saw and felt in their own way.

Each piece carries their perspective, thoughtful, curious, and beautifully individual.

Each child brought a little something to share, then worked together to wash, prep, and mix our ingredients. When the soup was ready, we all sat down to enjoy a meal we created as a community. Our center offers a community of children, parents, and teachers engaged in play based learning that values child choice, social justice, culturally competent curriculum, and the natural world.
