Directors of Nursing (DONs) in long-term care facilities are instrumental in upholding quality standards of care, fostering staff development and ensuring the well-being of residents through their leadership and expertise.

QCHF and attendees celebrated 25 years of the DON Conference at the Hotel Fera Anaheim with a reception and exhibitor table-top show as well as a comprehensive learning experience, covering essential topics such as strategies for improving resident outcomes through QAPI, operational tools for managing quality measures and fostering a resilient nursing workforce.

Day two of the conference kicked off with CAHF CEO/President Craig Cornett providing a crucial update on the status of long-term care in California, setting the stage for a day of insightful sessions focused on infection prevention, leadership in times of crisis and customer service excellence. Attendees gained invaluable insights to enhance quality of care and regulatory compliance. Additionally, several other speakers delivered sessions covering essential topics tailored to assist Directors of Nursing in overcoming daily operational hurdles and enhancing resident care standards.
