Patty Marcotte, a speech and language pathology assistant at Witter Ranch Elementary School, has been named Classified Employee of the Year in the Paraprofessional Services category.
Marcotte is recognized for contributing positive suggestions to lesson planning and providing a safe space where students can learn from their mistakes and grow through their challenges. Described by colleagues as reliable, wise and kind, she is considered an irreplaceable resource for the speech caseload at Witter Ranch.
