As we conclude Disability Pride Month, we would like to celebrate the disability community, honor the diversity of lived experiences, and reaffirm our commitment to accessibility, inclusion, and belonging.

We’re spotlighting three inspiring leaders who have made lasting contributions to disability advocacy and representation:

Jennifer Kumiyama - Disability rights advocate, Long Beach State alumna, and public servant who has championed accessibility, civic engagement, and inclusive communities.

Mary Lee Vance - Director of the Disability Access Center at Sacramento State and a leader whose work has focused on expanding opportunities, advancing accessibility, and empowering people with disabilities through education, leadership, and community engagement.

Alice Wong - Founder of the Disability Visibility Project, author of “Year of The Tiger,” and disability justice activist whose work has amplified the voices and stories of the disability community.

At CSU ASAP, we recognize that disability is an important part of diversity. This Disability Pride Month, we celebrate the advocates whose leadership continues to inspire more inclusive and equitable communities for all.
