What Are Stage Shows?

MOSAC Stage Shows are short 15-20 minute interactive presentations included with admission for all MOSAC guests. During these shows, MOSAC Curiosity Collaborators guide volunteers through experiments designed to explore the world around us. Stage Shows are fun for all ages and happen daily at MOSAC. MOSAC’s daily hours have changed from 10:00 AM–5:00 PM to 10:00 AM–4:00 PM on weekdays. Beginning August 11, MOSAC will also be closed on Tuesdays for the school year, except for spring, winter, and fall break. Tuesday will be open again for our 2027 Summer Hours.

Lost Weekend Planetarium Experience

Ahead of its worldwide release on August 14th via Dead Oceans, Phoebe Bridgers’ newest album Lost Weekend will debut in full inside planetariums around the globe.
Each listening session pairs the album with a unique immersive laser show designed by Laser Fantasy that turns your first listen into a shared sonic and visual experience. Note: This is not a performance, and Phoebe Bridgers will not be in attendance.

Phoebe Bridgers has asked for phone and camera free events.The approximate run time of the show will be one (1) hour. Please note:
● All phones, smart watches, recording and filming devices will be secured in Yondr pouches upon arrival / entrance to the planetarium dome.
● You'll keep the Yondr pouch with you, and can access your devices once you leave the planetarium dome.
● Guests who use recording devices during the event will be escorted out of the planetarium dome.

Through Wreathies, a UC Davis research game, young visitors explored fractions while helping scientists learn how choice impacts children’s learning and engagement.Early findings suggest kids feel more empowered when they have opportunities to make their own choices.
