"Curiosity belongs to everyone." MOSAC was honored to host the Rainbow Chambers pride event last night! It was a memorable evening of laughter, good food, and Lady Gaga. We wanted to give a special thank you to SMUD, Steve Hansen, our Board President, and Julia and Elizabeth Friedman for sponsoring the Lady Gaga Laser Show. "At MOSAC, we want every child who walks through our doors to see a future that includes them. The future scientist. The future engineer. The future artist. The future entrepreneur. The future public servant. The kid who thinks differently, asks too many questions, colors outside the lines, and may one day change the world because of it.
That is why diversity is not separate from science and innovation — it is essential to them. The best ideas come from different lived experiences, different perspectives, and communities that are willing to make room for each other.
Tonight is also a celebration of Sacramento itself. This room is full of business leaders, community leaders, advocates, builders, creatives, and friends who help make this region stronger, more inclusive, and frankly, a lot more fun." - Steve Hansen

Camp Curiosity is here, and we can’t contain our excitement! If you have a camper in your family, we apologize in advance for the following: repeated exclamations about how fun camp is, catchy camp songs getting stuck in your head, random requests for water balloons at home, and relentless begging for playdates with new friends.

MOSAC is stomping into summer on June 15th, T.REX is coming to MOSAC for an exciting all-ages planetarium show!

Among the dinosaurs towers a king: T. rex, the tyrant lizard king. In this giant screen film, T. rex comes back to life, complete with rex-on-rex fights, pack hunts, baby rexlings, and a climactic face-off with rex’s most famous three-horned nemesis, Triceratops. Centered around the true story of three kids who discovered T. rex fossils in North Dakota’s Hell Creek Formation, this show combines real science with a spectacular re-creation of the life and death of the lizard king.
