Big news for our school community! đ
Tonight, Mark Twain PTA was awarded a grant from the Aggie Square Community Fundâand we couldnât be more excited about whatâs ahead.
This summer, weâll be bringing vibrant, large-scale murals to life across three exterior buildings on our 58th Street campus. Even more special, this project will be led by local artist Ryan Dominguez whose deep roots in our neighborhood will help ensure the artwork truly reflects our community.
This isnât just about beautifying our campusâitâs about creating something meaningful together. Students and families will have the opportunity to share ideas and themes for the murals, and during the painting process, students will participate in hands-on learning experiences with the artist.
We envision these murals as lasting, community-designed works of art that celebrate who we are, strengthen neighborhood pride, and bring the same warmth, creativity, and color from inside our school out into the world.
A heartfelt thank you to UC Davis, Wexford Science & Technology, and the City of Sacramento for believing in our vision and investing in our students and community. đđ¸
We canât wait to see this project come to life!
