SFHS Campus Ministry

We love having so many students involved in our school-wide Masses. Lectors, Servers, Extra-ordinary Ministers of Holy Communion, MCs, and an amazing choir bring our liturgies life!

We were happy to be made aware of this need in our community. Thank you to an amazing senior who encouraged us to participate and to all the students and staff who supported this project.

We’re so impressed with Mercy, a St. Francis High School student who started volunteering with us during her freshman year at our Holiday Giving Program donation drop-off center. While volunteering, she noticed a need for more culturally diverse dolls—and took action!

Her effort is now called Dolls for All, and over the past few years, Mercy has helped raise funds to purchase diverse dolls and action figures for donation to the Sacramento Children’s Home Holiday Giving Program. We’re so grateful for her dedication to helping all children feel seen and included.❤️💚

Sacramento school gets rare opportunity to work with NASA St. Francis High School in Sacramento received the rare opportunity to partner with NASA and learn how to design, build, engineer, and code an experiment that will launch into space.

Friday, September 5th, is a Dress for Funds day benefiting the Annunciation Hope and Healing Fund, which was created in response to the tragic shooting during the school Mass at Annunciation in Minneapolis on Wednesday, August 27, 2025. Donations to this special Catholic Community Foundation fund provide financial support for the church and school's needs, as well as assistance to those affected by the tragedy.

Tomorrow the Church is celebrating the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary. Since we don’t have an on-campus, here’s info for a couple local parishes. Check your church website for Mass times.

Camp ReCreation is in dire need of counselors, especially males. The goal is to add at least 7-10 more males. The biggest needs now are Weeks 2 and 3. If you know a young man who will be at least 16 years old by the start of camp, please encourage them to consider this opportunity. See the attached graphics for more info and contact info.

They are also open to adding females - as they can help during the day.

Next week SFHS Campus Ministry will host the class of 2027 on a series of Day Retreats. We will reflect on the goodness of God while celebrating both Easter and a year of growth, challenge and fellowship. Freshman families are invited to pitch in with the afternoon festivities--get a jumpstart on next year's service hours and celebrate with your extended Troubie family. Positions are posted on MVP. Reach our if you would like to be waitlisted for a filled position or day.
