Mark your calendars for the C.K. McClatchy Homecoming parade on Friday, October 20th! The parade will start at 3:45 p.m. and will go North on Freeport, left onto Vallejo, left onto Land Park Drive, left onto 9th Ave., and left onto Freeport to return to CKM. We invite neighbors to line the streets and share in our school spirit and tradition. Go Lions!

CKM’s ASB class is coordinating a holiday toy drive with City of Refuge, a non-profit organization, “where those on the run for their lives could find HOPE, shelter and restoration. Now, CoR has a community outreach center, multiple safe-homes for Women and their children, Employment-development courses, Youth programs, and hosts many community events throughout the year.” Toys are collected and then families can choose from a Christmas Store, allowing parents the opportunity to come shop for free and pick out a special gift for their child. Toys are being collected in all English classrooms and in a box in the main lobby at CKM through December 15th.
