Inspiring Minds Childcare of Sacramento

Play-based childcare located in the Curtis Park neighborhood of Sacramento where children will be encouraged to create and explore with their imagination as they learn. I’ve worked with children of all ages—from private babysitting and tutoring to being a daycare assistant for nearly 20 years at my family’s daycare preschool. Most recently, I worked as a preschool teacher for five years prior to opening Inspiring Minds Childcare. My passion for childcare ultimately led me to the decision to open my own home-based center. Besides years of work experience, I also have a Certificate of Proficiency in Home Early Care and Education as well as a Bachelor of Arts in Child Development from Sacramento State University. I am a proponent of children being able to learn while at play and have made it a point to engage children’s imagination and interest by letting them direct what I may teach them about. During play I can observe the children’s behavior and support their exploration of their environment. This fosters their independence, which allows them to really connect to and be curious about gaining knowledge. This also guides me into using what they respond to most as a way to inform how I teach. I strive to foster a relationship with each child that is unique to their individual learning and communication styles, and I hope to send them home each day with renewed excitement about what they will learn in the future!
