These students have put in the work, and watching them grow into such kind, caring, generous individuals — people who show up for each other and pour their hearts into something beautiful together — is the greatest privilege. Tomorrow we get to celebrate that.

So much happening this month at Gallagher’s Violins — here’s what to look forward to:

🌳 Concert in the Park — Saturday, May 16th at 2:00 PM at East Portal Park! Come cheer on our students as they perform together. Please arrive 15 minutes early and wear your 2026 studio T-shirt!

🎼 Dress Rehearsal — Wednesday, May 13th, 5–6 PM at the studio (in lieu of regular group class).

🌱 Summer Enrollment — Details going out via email Monday, May 4th at 8 AM. Don’t miss it — summer lessons are how we keep momentum and build the kind of ease that lasts.

🎻✨ 100 DAYS OF PRACTICE — WE DID IT! ✨🎻

Yesterday, Gallagher’s Violins celebrated something truly special: 100 days of challenging oneself, opening the case, and choosing curiosity. 🎉

This journey started on our very first day of the spring semester back in January — and what a journey it has been.

The goal was never perfection. It was joy. Consistency. Curiosity. A daily relationship with an instrument that will carry these students for the rest of their lives. 💛

And whether your student hit 100 days or not — I want every single family to hear this:

I am so proud of each and every one of them.

By taking on this challenge, they grew their practice endurance, strengthened their daily routine, and practiced more days than they ever would have otherwise. That is real. That is meaningful. And it sets them up for even greater things ahead.
Every. Single. Number. Is worth celebrating. 🙌

We marked the occasion the best way we knew how — decorating our violin bags, breaking out the cupcakes 🧁, and showing off our brand new studio t-shirts. It felt like exactly what it was: a community celebrating together.

Community has always been an anchor in how I guide, craft, and show up for my students. This year’s shirt celebrates that — highlighting the many special spaces across Sacramento where Gallagher Violins students get to grow, practice, and share their music.

Every location on this shirt tells a story, and I cannot wait to keep building our map together. 💚

Music belongs to every culture — and this past week was a beautiful reminder of that. 🎻🌸

I had the honor of performing a duet alongside one of my students at her family’s Hmong cultural center, as part of a local conference’s community kick-off celebration.

Learning about her heritage, stepping into her community’s space, and being welcomed so warmly by the people who love and support her — it meant the world. Seeing her celebrated by her community was the cherry on top of an already unforgettable evening.

To be invited into moments like this is a gift. Grateful doesn’t even begin to cover it. 💛

April is one of my favorite months in the studio and this one does not disappoint! 🎻✨

From the 100 Days of Practice Celebration to putting the final layers of polish on our group class pieces for our May Concert in the Park — so much to look forward to together.
