"Life is all about a rainbow rice sensory table! πŸŒˆβ€οΈπŸ§‘πŸ’›πŸ’šπŸ©΅πŸ’™πŸ’œπŸ©·πŸŒˆ

The Saplings enjoyed the fruits of their labor this morning by indulging in a rainbow rice sensory table, with rainbow rocks! The children practiced scooping and pouring the sensory fun, and pointed out all of the beautiful colors. This activity was also a big opportunity to practice waiting turns, even though that is so tricky to do!"

*Today Maple class planted basil seeds in clear pots. πŸͺ΄ This activity supports early science learning, science curiosity and fine motor development. As children scoop soil, place the tiny seeds, and water them using a spray bottle, they strengthen hand-eye coordination and strengthen the small muscles in their hands for better fine motor control. The clear pots will allow the Maple friends to observe the entire growing process, from roots forming underground to sprouts reaching toward the light, encouraging curiosity and early understanding of plant life cycles. β˜€οΈ We are so excited to watch our little plants grow!"

The Oaks collaborated to create a giant weave! βœ‚οΈπŸ§Ά After cutting long strips of paper and felt, we practiced the pattern β€œover, under” as we wove them through a string-wrapped hula hoop, just like basket makers 🧺. So much fine motor work, pattern recognition, and teamwork went into this beautiful piece of art!
