Some of our students recently competed in the Hydrogen Grand Prix and brought home wins in two categories: Innovation and Endurance.

Their hard work and dedication have not gone unnoticed. Our School Site Council recognized these students for their achievements, and they were also honored by the GCC Board, where they presented their work and shared their experience.

We are incredibly proud of what they’ve accomplished.

Next stop: Switzerland.

Behind every strong school is strong leadership. And we’re proud to recognize two of the best.

Our Vice Principals, Ms. Buda and Mrs. Brannigan, are the definition of dedication, heart, and consistency. Before stepping into their roles as administrators, both served as teachers right here at Futures High School, building relationships, supporting students, and making an impact in the classroom.

Over the years, they’ve continued to grow with our school, always putting students first, supporting staff, and helping shape the culture that makes Futures feel like home.

Their commitment doesn’t go unnoticed—and our school is better because of them every single day.

FHS students had H2GP racing competition in LA. Students across California came to showcase their car designs, to demonstrate team strategies for managing hydrogen fuel over longer period of time and of course working as a team under pressure. It was a great opportunity for our students to showcase their skills as well as learn from other teams from diverse mix of ideas and designs. Congratulations team for getting a 1st place. Next step to get ready to win in International competition in Switzerland! We are so proud of you!

Students visited Exploratorium in San Francisco. The museum has hundreds interactive exhibits that encouraged students to explore concepts like physics, biology and technology. Students had a great time. Thanks to everyone who made it possible!

FHS students went to Lawrence Hall of Science in UC Berkeley University. They had great time and learned a lot about science and space.

Congratulations to our students who participated in H2GP (Hydrogen Grand Prix) competition and took 1st place in the Stock category. They are off to Nationals in March.
