Last year the students at Oaks Elementary School watched Pumpkin Jack decompose and journaled the progress until May when he sprouted from the seeds left in the cavity. Those seeds were planted and over the summer grew like crazy. The students were excited to see the new pumpkins on the vine. Last week we picked some of them. The chatter after seeing the picked pumpkins was a delight to listen to!
